The Tbilisi Photography & Multimedia Museum (TPMM) is the first independent platform in Georgia dedicated to contemporary photography, moving images, and new media. Through various exhibitions, discussions, and educational programs, TPMM brings together curators, artists, experts, filmmakers, video artists, students, and scholars, aiming to promote the medium as a tool for social and cultural transformation in Georgia and the South Caucasus.
Founded as a non-governmental, not-for-profit organization in 2017, the Tbilisi Photography & Multimedia Museum (TPMM) is the first institution in Georgia entirely dedicated to the contemporary image in its different forms: photography, new media, and video. Through its numerous exhibitions, discussions, and educational programmes, TPMM seeks to serve as an independent platform to promote photography as a catalyst for social and cultural change in Georgia, the South Caucasus and the wider world. The Museum is located at Stamba – an old Soviet-era publishing house that was transformed into a boutique hotel in 2018.
